ECMLG is now a well-established event on the academic research calendar and now in its 16^th year the key aim remains the opportunity for participants to share ideas and meet the people who hold them. The conference was due to be held at EM-Normandie Business School, Oxford, UK but due to the global Covid-19 pandemic it was moved online to be held as a virtual event. The scope of papers will ensure an interesting two days. The subjects covered illustrate the wide range of topics that fall into this important and ever-growing area of research.

The opening keynote presentation is given by Aldwyn Cooper, Professor and Vice Chancellor Emeritus at Regent’s University London, on the topic of Stairway to Heaven: An Alternative Approach to Education. The second day of the conference Keynote presentation is given by Dr Jayshina Punwasi MBChB (UCT), MBA (WBS), a Clinical Manager at the Helen Joseph Hospital in Gauteng, South Africa on the topic of Befriending uncertainty: When life and death decisions are made everyday.

With an initial submission 75 abstracts, after the double blind, peer review process there are 81 Academic research papers and 4 PhD research papers published in these Conference Proceedings. These papers represent research from Australia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Danmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, , Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Qatar, Romania, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland, The Netherlands, UK and USA.
