These proceedings represent the work of contributors to the 17th International Conference on Intellectual Capital, Knowledge Management & Organisational Learning (ICICKM 2020), hosted by ACI and the University of Toronto, Canada on 15-16 October 2020. The Conference Chairs are Dr. Anthony Wensley, from the University of Toronto and Dr. Max Evans, from McGill University. The Programme Chair is Dr. Ilja Frissen from McGill University.

ICICKM is a well-established event on the academic research calendar and now in its 17th year, the key aim remains the opportunity for participants to share ideas and meet the people who hold them. The conference was due to be held at The University of Toronto, Canada but due to the global Covid-19 pandemic it was moved online to be held as a virtual event. The scope of papers will ensure an interesting two days. The subjects covered illustrate the wide range of topics that fall into this important and ever-growing area of research.

The opening keynote presentation is given by Dr. Alexander Serenko, from the Ontario Tech University, Canada, on the topic of The State and Development of the Knowledge Management Discipline: Evidence from Scientometric Research. The second day of the conference will open with an address by Dr. Helen Rothberg from Marist College, Poughkeepsie, NY, USA and Dr. Scott Erickson from Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY, USA, who will talk about Intellectual Capital and Financial Performance: Predicting M&A Success.

With an initial submission of 102 abstracts, after the double blind, peer review process there are 51 Academic research papers, 1 PhD research paper and 1 work-in-progress paper published in these Conference Proceedings. These papers represent research from Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Czechia, Finland, France, Germany, GREECE, Iraq, Italy, Mongolia, Norway, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, UK, USA and Vietnam.
